Mary Bonar joined the Board of FCP as a transport consultant in 2016 having specialised in surface transport law and financing since British Rail privatisation in 1994. Her experience encompasses passenger rail franchising, rolling stock leasing, network access, light rail, road and rail infrastructure. She has been advisor for international rail operators including Eurostar and its major shareholder SNCF which operates the London-Paris-Brussels service, and the Dutch Government for development of the High Speed Line between the Netherlands and Belgium. Her work with the World Bank included concessioning of Metro services in India. She advised Transport for London on establishing the London Overground. Mary is an FCILT and a member of the think tank the Independent Transport Commission.
